General Payments Info

Getting paid is clear and simple in Wordapp. As Wordapp grows, we are also improving our payment system. All payments on www.wordapp.com are being made from The Netherlands. This means that all freelancers must supply a national ID number or a tax identification number (TIN), either their personal tax identification number or company information if applicable.

How much we pay

From your Task Feed you can see exactly how much every task pays. In Wordapp, your hourly rate will be substantially higher than working “offline.” Some examples of the time you save are:

  • You don’t have to apply for jobs, all available tasks are in your task feed
  • Machine Learning makes sure the best tasks are selected that fit to you
  • You don’t have to spend time on submitting tasks in Dropbox/Email/Drive
  • Feedback shows up directly in your Task Feed

When you get paid

As soon as you submit a task, the payment for that task goes to your “pending balance.” When a task is approved by the client the payment for that task goes to your “withdrawable balance.” You can withdraw your withdrawable balance for free at any time*.

You do not need to worry about when you get paid or ask for your payment anymore. Simply click on “withdraw” whenever you need the money and the withdrawable funds will automatically get transferred.

*Free bank transfer for balances over 500 Euro (there is a transaction fee for balances below that).

A few important things to consider

  • Your country in your invoice profile has to be the same country where your bank is located. If you make a mistake, delete your payment profile and update your invoice profile. After that add your payment profile again.
  • Your name under your profile settings and your name under your invoice settings should be the same.
  • Check below if you want to learn more about your Tax ID.

Why does Wordapp need my Tax ID?

All payments from www.wordapp.com started to be made from The Netherlands. Therefore, Dutch law requires us to know who we send money to and we must share that information with the tax authorities.

What is a Tax Identification Number?

The TIN number is different in different countries, here is a list of a number of European TIN numbers. If your country is not on that list you should use the number you use when you contact the tax authorities in your country. If you do not have a Tax ID, you should use your National ID number that has been given by your government.

Will you deduct any taxes on my earnings?

If you live outside of The Netherlands we will not deduct any taxes and each freelancer is responsible to pay any applicable taxes in their own country. If you live in The Netherlands we will apply the taxable amount to your withdrawn balance total in accordance with EU tax rules.

How do I update my Payment Method or Invoice Profile?
